Trading Standards Officer

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Trading Standards Officer to join a busy regulatory services team dedicated to protecting consumers, supporting legitimate businesses, and promoting fair trading.

In this role, you will undertake a range of Trading Standards activities, providing technical expertise in consumer protection, investigating complaints, carrying out inspections, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will play a key role in maintaining and promoting safe, healthy, and fair trading environments while delivering high-quality regulatory services.

Key Requirements:

• Experience within Trading Standards, Consumer Protection, Regulatory Services, or a related enforcement environment.
• Strong knowledge of consumer protection and trading standards legislation.
• Experience conducting investigations, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and deliver effective outcomes for consumers and businesses.
