Risk And Business Continuity Officer Based in Sandbach and the salary is £18.00 ph PAYE  

This is a full time temporary role.

This role will involve:

• Implement and continuously improve the client’s risk management and business continuity practices, policies, procedures, processes and frameworks for identifying, assessing and ameliorating the client’s and services/departments risks; identifying areas for improvement and providing specialist support, advice and guidance to “risk owners” across the authority in relation to the development, implementation and monitoring of action and business continuity plans that minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
• Oversee the delivery of annual work programs in the areas of Risk Management, Business Continuity and, to be executed through regular assurance and compliance reviews and inspections
• Undertake monitoring and reporting on risk management and business continuity plans/responses, including the management of the corporate risk register, supporting the client’s Corporate Assurance Group and providing regular reports to management meetings and public committees
• Implement and monitor performance measurement systems in relation to the overall business objectives, plans, individual projects and the activities of the Risk Management, Business Continuity and Health and Safety teams, demonstrating their impact across the directorates, and use these to ensure that resources are utilised effectively, that appropriate governance arrangements are in place and that programs of change are delivering required improvements

Ideally candidates will have:

• Relevant qualification in risk management or an equivalent level of knowledge and experience
• Embedding risk management and continuity planning into long term projects and service delivery across a range of disciplines
• Full knowledge of Corporate Governance frameworks, risk management and business continuity concepts, processes, best practice and techniques
• Detailed understanding of all legislation and statutory requirements relevant to role, e.g. Civil Contingencies Act etc.
