Public Health Specialist Practitioner needed in Grays Paying £205.05 per hr ref OR111094
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support public health projects, programmes and initiatives that improve population health and wellbeing.
- Undertake Health Needs Assessments (HNAs), contribute to Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs), and use epidemiological data to inform service planning and commissioning.
- Analyse and interpret health intelligence, statistics and research evidence to support decision-making and service improvement.
- Apply public health principles, health promotion models and evidence-based practice to address health inequalities and the wider determinants of health.
- Work collaboratively with NHS organisations, local authorities, community groups and other stakeholders to develop and deliver effective public health interventions.
- Support the commissioning, monitoring and evaluation of public health services to ensure quality, effectiveness and value for money.
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance and assurance processes across public health programmes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and national and local public health strategies.
- Promote partnership working across health and social care to improve outcomes for diverse communities.
- Maintain professional competencies and continuing professional development in line with Public Health Knowledge and Skills Framework (PHSKF) standards.
