Property Contract Manager needed in Newbury £18.19ph ref 5173534 Full time hours on a temporary basis. We have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our Property Services Operations Team in Newbury. You will not be expected to work from Newbury each day as we offer flexible working which will entail site visits across the geography of our housing stock, attending offices and working from home to suit the requirements of this position. You’ll be accountable for the delivery of planned programmes for property maintenance and the management of a range of contracts. This will include supporting the procurement process and helping to ensure contracts are fit for purpose. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills to build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has experience in contract management with a background in property or construction. You will need to carry out site inspections and have a good understanding of CDM, health and safety requirements and quality control. Due to some travel requirements for this role, it is necessary that you have access to your own transport and hold a valid Full UK driving license. As a Contracts Manager you will provide operational contract performance management for a portfolio of allocated contracts by appropriately monitoring contractor progress and performance to agreed service quality and budget. You’ll provide advice when new contracts are procured to ensure contracts are fit for purpose and carry out site inspections to determine scope of works in order to develop project briefs. Strong communication, negotiating and problem solving skills are therefore essential. We are looking for someone who has experience in contract management; proven experience in a similar client-based role would therefore be ideal. |
