Planning Officer

Planning Officer needed in Oldham Paying  £25.27 per hr ref 1768267

 Full time hours on a temporary basis

• • Manage and assess planning applications, ensuring compliance with planning legislation, local policies, and national guidance.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for planning decisions. 
  • Provide advice and guidance to applicants, architects, developers, councillors, and members of the public on planning matters.
  • Conduct site visits and evaluate development proposals, plans, and supporting documentation. 
  • Liaise with consultees, stakeholders, and internal departments throughout the planning process. 
  • Present applications and recommendations at Planning Committee meetings when required.
  • Handle planning appeals, discharge of conditions, and related casework. 
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the efficient delivery of the Development Management service.
