Grounds Maintenance Operative needed in Manchester Paying  £12.82 per hr ref 477662

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Responsibilities

• Maintain parks, open spaces, highways, housing estates, sports grounds, and landscaped areas.
• Grass cutting using pedestrian and ride-on mowers.
• Hedge trimming, pruning shrubs, and maintaining flower beds.
• Weed control and vegetation management.
• Planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and seasonal bedding plants.
• Litter picking and emptying bins.
• Leaf clearance and general site cleaning.
• Maintaining pathways, fences, signs, and outdoor furniture.
• Operating and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment and machinery safely.
• Carrying out minor landscaping and horticultural tasks.
• Applying health and safety procedures, including safe use of machinery and chemicals.
• Responding to customer requests and reporting defects, hazards, or vandalism.
• Assisting with seasonal duties such as gritting, snow clearance, or sports pitch maintenance.
