Conservation Officer Contract Full Time

Conservation Officer Based in Sittingbourne and the salary is £29.90ph PAYE  

This is a full time temporary role.

This role will involve:

• Providing expert advice to officers, members and the public, including attendance at Committees and planning working groups and facilitating the client‘s Design panel.
• Promoting good practise and high standards of design through the Development Management process amongst Members, other officers and those promoting development within the Borough;
• Raising the benchmark for good innovative and sustainable design and adding value to the quality of built development through the planning process.

Ideally candidates will have:

• An appropriate qualification at degree level (eg Architecture, Building Conservation, Urban Design) and membership of an appropriate professional body (eg RIBA, RTPI OR IHBC);
• Demonstrable high level experience of dealing with heritage issues;
• IT literate, with knowledge and use of Microsoft office;
• Current valid driving Licence and access to use of a car.
