Compliance and Monitoring Officer – H & S

Health & Safety Compliance OfficerJob Purpose

To support the Operations Manager in ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and industry best practice across Operational Services.

The post holder will provide professional health and safety support through monitoring, auditing, training, investigation, and advisory activities, helping to ensure employees, contractors, and service areas operate safely and effectively while promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key ResponsibilitiesCompliance and Monitoring

• Support the Operations Manager in maintaining compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, statutory requirements, and industry standards.
• Undertake workplace inspections, audits, compliance monitoring activities, and on-the-job assessments across operational service areas.
• Monitor contractor and employee compliance with health and safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
• Identify areas of non-compliance, risk, and service improvement, providing practical recommendations and corrective actions to managers and employees.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, assessments, and compliance activities.

This is a temporary role initially for 6 months to be reviewed working full time hours.
