The successful candidate will play a key role in providing expert legal advice and guidance to colleagues, managers, and partner agencies. They will support objectives by managing a diverse caseload of childcare matters, contributing to high-profile cases, and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks.

They will be delivering legal and procedural advice on childcare law to Members, Officers, and partner agencies, managing routine and complex legal cases, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of advice and services and drafting legal documents, preparing court submissions, and conducting legal research.

They will be responsible for advising on relevant legislation, case law, and procedural changes and supporting the Principal Solicitor and Director of Law on significant, politically sensitive cases.
