Assistant Payroll & Employee Officer needed in Wakefield £10.01ph PAYE – Reference:0005 1213 / 1

This role will involve:

  • To act as an ambassador for the Business and Transactional Service and identify where it can add value by influencing and delivering customer requirements effectively
  • To work within key performance indicators and ensure performance standards are maintained to drive sustained and continuous performance improvements, efficiencies and value for money within agreed monitoring/reporting framework and standards
  • Ensure all duties and responsibilities of self and staff are discharged in accordance with the client’s constitution and all policies
  • To provide competent advice and support on payroll and employee services
  • To support the delivery of service and team priorities to ensure successful outcomes
  • Ensure the service provided meets customer expectations and provides quality support

Ideally candidates will have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent in a subject relevant to the role or experience of at least one area of Payroll and Pensions.
  • Awareness of Local Government, NHS and Teachers Pension Schemes
  • An awareness of the operational issues facing the provision of a customer facing Transactional Service.
  • Awareness of PAYE legislation and HMRC requirements relating to payroll provision

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
