Public Health Programme Manager (Covid-19) needed in Bedford £320.33 per day PAYE – Reference:5170522
To programme manage a range of projects related to the public health management of COVID-19 from implementation through completion.
Ensure the high performance of projects by leading on all strands of delivery including local and national communications and stakeholder engagement with a variety of partners internal and external to the Councils.
To oversee the day-to-day delivery of specific programmes, with accountability for development and effective delivery of plans and activities.
To develop and implement innovative activities, actions and solutions as necessary to manage risk, preventing or addressing problems and failings in the program, ensuring they do not damage the programme’s chance of success
Work with other programme managers to ensure projects and their activities are aligned across the wider programme to minimise wasted resource, taking advantage of opportunities for joined up working, resolving and where possible preventing conflicts of interest and misunderstandings between projects within the programme resulting from either; budget pressures, technical, or other issues.
To apply robust and effective project and programme management disciplines, ensuring compliance with corporate requirements and practices, to maintain effective control of the programme ensuring costs and timescales are managed and monitored and that this is effectively demonstrated to senior managers and external auditors.
To provide Quality Assurance identify risks and proactively manage mitigation for all major project deliverables and to have personal accountability for ensuring they are fit for purpose.
This is working full time hours on a temporary contract basis
