Senior Solicitor (Hybrid/Remote)

Senior Solicitor (Hybrid/Remote) needed in Nottingham, £20.84ph PAYE – Reference: OR109439

Principally remote, but attending the office as and when required (typically 1-2 days per week).

Providing advice to the Monitoring Officer, Deputy Monitoring Officer, and other colleagues across the Client on governance and other matters you will be expected to:

• Advise committees and Full Client around lawful decision making and good governance.
• Assist with the handling of complaints relating to the member code of conduct and the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Panel.
• Provide management oversight of advice delivered as part of the Client’s legal services to its maintained schools and ad hoc advice in relation to this.
• Have considerable experience of working with local government organisations, including providing advice to senior colleagues regarding constitutional and other legal matters.
• Provide governance advice to support the wider Corporate and Environmental Law team and Democratic Services.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
