Senior Finance Officer needed in Taunton

The rate is £190.39 per day PAYE

The successful candidate will join a Children’s Services finance team. The role will support Children’s Social Care, so it is important that candidates have experience with CSC placements, so they can hit the ground running.

The service is experiencing financial pressures and have challenging saving targets to deliver over the medium-term. The candidate will support the significant service transformation to ensure that the current overspend is managed and mitigated, whilst supporting delivery of the saving programme.

The main duties will be: active role in budget monitoring ensuring value is added throughout the process, this is to include being able to explain the financials in simple terms, provide challenge, support development of mitigations and being able to present information to senior colleagues.
