Senior CCTV Officer Full Time Temporary

Senior CCTV Officer needed in Lewisham, Paying £25.24ph PAYE – Reference: RQ1276574

Please note this is not an immediate start as this role will require vetting

1. To co-ordinate the day-to-day operation of the Boroughs 24 hour CCTV system in accordance with the scheme’s code of practice, operational procedures and statutory regulations. Day to day running of the CCTV control room presently monitoring over 500 cameras covering the borough. This includes the management and running of the Lewisham Homes CCTV system.
2. To maintain and supervise both the CCTV monitoring and maintenance contracts for the borough, along with any other technical issues for the scheme. This includes supervising of the CCTV operators and maintenance engineer while on site.
3. To support the performance of the monitoring and maintenance contractors, the efficiency and effectiveness of the monitoring and maintenance staff to ensure meaningful compliance with the monitoring contracts.
4. To improve operational use of the system, evidence gathering, increased working with the police and other Safer Communities Service partners and improvement of performance management.
5. To support the client, police, lead client officers, and external partners in increasing the scope and effectiveness of the CCTV service provision.
6. To achieve and maintain high professional and technical standards in all aspects of the CCTV operations, using up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and technical standards.
7. To provide advice, expertise and provide practical support to departments and its partners for CCTV and related matters.
8. To ensure that targets are meet, in order to support the performance objectives of the service, corporate and business plan priorities. Monitor working procedures, service levels and contractual requirements in make sure these are complied with at all times.

This is a full time role on a Temporary basis.
