Procurement Officer needed in Kingston

The successful candidate will focus on the delivery of various contracts for the ICT space. They will help develop and implement innovative approaches to supply arrangements that minimise costs and commercial risk, and deliver cashable savings, whilst at the same time enhancing the services the council provides through added social value.

We are looking for someone who is confident in procuring IT systems, software, hardware etc, knows how to use a range of IT specific frameworks for procurements (not just CCS G-Cloud!) and can demonstrate this experience (name them, state what procured and how e.g. direct award call off, further competition etc), good knowledge of IT systems etc and how they work, knowledge of forming a contract for an IT system etc.

The gold standard is if they have then also actively mobilised IT contracts, have an understanding that technology is not perfect and workarounds are frequently required, and that they are keeping up to date with IT procurement trends which are constantly changing/evolving.
