Planning Enforcement Team Leader needed in Liverpool

This is a temporary role and the rate is £41.90ph PAYE

The successful candidate will lead and motivate a high‑performing enforcement team, providing clear direction and expert guidance across all aspects of planning control. They will oversee the investigation of complaints, monitor development activity, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure effective regulation.

They will take ownership of drafting, maintaining and delivering a robust Local Enforcement Plan that reflects evolving priorities, sets out key service standards, and drives a focused, timely response to enforcement matters. Using their specialist knowledge, they will assess breaches, evaluate planning harm, determine appropriate remedial actions, and recommend the most proportionate and expedient steps to secure compliance, ensuring a modern, customer‑focused and business‑friendly enforcement service.
