Payroll Manager Contract Full Time

Payroll Manager needed in based in Bournemouth and the salary is £16.71ph PAYE  

This is a full time temporary role.

This role will involve:

• Provide direct line management for a team of Payroll and support Officers ensuring that payroll processes are delivered in line with statutory and business requirements
• Support and develop staff through performance management, feedback and 1:1s to manage and motivate the team
• Act as subject matter expert for Payroll issues and escalated or complex issues affecting pay.
• Act as payroll lead on TUPE transfers, academy conversions, new customer set ups etc.
• Ensure implementation of all pay awards and new pay grades
• Liaise with IT regarding any Payroll BACS issues to set up new customers and to ensure all salary BACs payments are made on time
• Act as the Payroll System Administrator and action requests for access to payroll system
• Investigate and resolve system errors within the payroll and expenses systems, raising trackers with software developers

Ideally candidates will have:

• Payroll qualification, relevant degree, or minimum 5 years equivalent experience
• Experience of advising on payroll and employment legislation in a public sector environment
• A valid UK driving licence
