Parking admin officer needed in Kidlington £10.65ph ref 5189560

Full time hours on a temporary basis.

Location: Majority of this role is office based at Kidlington initially, but may include homeworking from time to time once training has been provided.

Joining our Parking Management team, you’ll provide administrative support and must be able to communicate effectively by telephone, in writing and by email.  You’ll be involved in a range of activities including processing and recording information relating to Penalty Charge Notices, assisting with permit administration, logging requests for parking restrictions from the public, carrying out searches for utility information, taking telephone payments and logging and responding to simple enquiries for the Zero Emissions Zone. The successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, have strong numerical skills, be able to work to deadlines, be meticulous and a good team player.

Working within a very busy office environment, the candidate may find themselves dealing with challenging and sometimes emotional situations and people.  It’s important they are able to work calmly under pressure and balance competing demands effectively.  The candidate must be experienced in working in an administrative environment and have excellent organisational and communicating skills, with a customer-focused approach and with the ability of working calmly and efficiently. Attention to detail and the need for accuracy are essential requirements for this post and the candidate will take on responsibility and therefore should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. 

Establishing good working relationships and have an excellent manner when dealing with customers and members of the public, is essential. The candidate must be familiar with Microsoft with fast accurate word processing skills and be familiar with spreadsheets.
