Market and street trading assistant needed in Cambridge £14.63ph ref 5161332

Full time hours on a temporary basis

To support the team in the day to day operation and development of the Markets and Street Trading Service. This includes the operations of markets and any street trading vendors located within the city’s trading ‘consent zone’. The role also includes the issuing of charity street collections, and the proactive management of any on street non-licensable activity, such as busking.

The role includes responsibilities for the control and enforcement of street trading within the city’s Street Trading Consent Zone.

The post holder will need to be adaptable, charismatic, customer-focused, and comfortable working in fast-paced and changing environments. The post holder must have experience of dealing with difficult customers and complaints handling. Experience of working on Markets or in a Markets Officer role is desirable but not essential.
