Litigation Lawyer – Housing Disrepair needed to work around Central London Paying  £45 per hr ref OR113609

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Services

• Provide legal advice on housing management and landlord & tenant disputes.
• Manage housing disrepair and housing condition litigation from inception to conclusion.
• Draft pleadings, particulars of claim, defences, witness statements, injunction applications, committal applications, and trial documentation.
• Conduct advocacy where appropriate (excluding trials).
• Instruct and manage external solicitors and Counsel where required.
• Support stakeholders across the organisation on legal and litigation matters.
• Deliver housing law and litigation training to colleagues.

Specialist Disrepair Focus

• Serve as the legal lead and centre of excellence for housing disrepair and housing condition litigation.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, precedents, and best practice guidance.
• Support legal colleagues with complex disrepair matters.
• Drive continuous improvement and reporting within the disrepair service.

People Management

• Line manage 2 or more paralegals.
• Develop, coach and support junior legal staff.
• Conduct performance management, induction, and development activities.
• Promote a collaborative, resident-focused culture.
