Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage requests received under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Data Protection Act, UK GDPR, and other information governance legislation.
- Process and respond to Subject Access Requests (SARs), including the review, extraction, and redaction of complex and sensitive information.
- Provide advice and guidance on information governance, data protection, confidentiality, and information sharing requirements.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of information governance policies, procedures, and best practice.
- Assist with the investigation and management of data protection incidents and breaches.
- Maintain accurate records and case management systems relating to information governance requests and enquiries.
- Monitor compliance with statutory response times and regulatory requirements.
- Produce reports, analyse data, identify trends, and support performance monitoring activities.
- Liaise with internal departments, senior managers, external organisations, and regulatory bodies where required.
- Contribute to staff awareness and training activities relating to information governance and data protection.
