Hybrid Senior Procurement Officer needed in Northampton Paying £360 per day ref RQ1795072
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex procurement exercises from strategy development through to contract award and implementation.
- Deliver procurements relating to:
- Housing asset investment programmes
- Planned and reactive maintenance contracts
- Refurbishment and capital improvement works
- Repairs and maintenance services
- Property and building-related contracts
- Develop procurement strategies that support service objectives, compliance requirements, and value-for-money outcomes.
- Provide procurement and commercial advice to stakeholders across Housing and Asset Management teams.
- Prepare procurement documentation, tender packs, evaluation criteria, contract schedules, and award recommendations.
- Manage competitive tendering processes through relevant procurement portals and frameworks.
- Ensure all procurement activity complies with the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23), policies, and governance requirements.
- Support contract mobilisation and handover to operational contract management teams.
- Build effective relationships with suppliers, contractors, consultants, and key internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and commercial efficiencies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
