Housing Paralegal (Hybrid)

Housing Paralegal (Hybrid) needed in Lambeth, £20.55ph PAYE – Reference: OR115557

The position is in a very busy housing litigation team and you will be joining a team of currently 4 paralegals who are currently dealing with a large backlog of rent arrear cases and warrant applications.  

The key targets in the next few months are to reduce the backlogs and update spreadsheets so that clients can track their cases.  

More generally and in the long run the paralegals will be required to provide support for fee earners who are dealing with disrepair and tenancy cases, eg unauthorised occupant and nuisance cases.  

Such support to include paying invoices; booking counsel; drafting simple letters; issuing proceedings in court;  helping with bundles and disclosure of documents.

The Housing team consists of  a Principal Lawyer; Senior  Lawyer; a Disrepair and Tenancy Team 9 lawyers with some vacancies. 

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
