Highway Inspector needed in Oxford

This is a temporary role and the rate is £26.62ph PAYE

The successful candidate will undertake statutory and risk-based highway safety inspections and associated activities to ensure the highway network remains safe, serviceable, and compliant with relevant legislation. The role also provides a proactive customer engagement function, acting as a key interface between the service, stakeholders, and the public.

They will undertake planned, cyclical, and ad hoc road safety inspections of the highway network, including carriageways, footways, and associated assets, will identify, risk assess, and categorise defects in accordance with policy and national codes of practice and will raise works orders and ensure defects are progressed within agreed timescales.
