Hybrid Working – Fixed Term, Full Time (12 Months – Maternity Cover)
Client’s assets range from nurseries to adventure playgrounds, to parks, libraries and community hubs, schools, depots and day centres.
The Valuation and Strategic Assets team (VASA) is looking to recruit a Head of Asset Management for the Directorates portfolio on a fixed term contract to cover maternity Leave. The role provides support and expert advice to teams and departments within the Client including Children’s, Adults, Housing, Libraries, Education and Parks, as well as working closely with the Client’s external partners such as the NHS.
As the Client experiences unprecedented cuts to its budgets, we are increasingly seeing our assets as being critical in the delivery of services, either directly or through third parties. We look for opportunities at every angle to deliver savings or create revenue and capital opportunities from our valuable underlying asset base.
The workload is very busy and varied with everyday being different, attention to detail is key for this role. You will be MRICS qualified (at least five years), with experience of all Landlord and Tenant issues. You will be confident advising internal and external clients on all aspects of leasing and general estate management work as well as being familiar with writing reports and presenting to senior management and cabinet members. You will be able to turn reports around quickly and accurately. Ideally, you will have experience at working at this level and are familiar with a political environment as well as being a seasoned line manager. Experience working on operational and Education buildings would be useful.
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
