Finance Analyst needed in St Albans £18 per hr PAYE Ref: 5158648

 This is working full time hours on a temporary basis

Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible for accounting, budgeting and reporting arrangements for assigned areas of the Revenue Spend and Capital Schemes

     

    • Producing monthly management reports and variance analysis
    • Reviewing the Full Year Forecast with Budget Mangers and revising as needed

     

    • Supporting Service Managers and Heads of Service to provide action-oriented commentary in Chief Executive’s monthly Board report

     

    • Highlighting risk of overspend and income shortfalls to avoid financial problems going undetected

     

    • Providing financial information, analysis and recommendations to areas in order to enable management to make financially sound business decisions

     

    1. Support the Finance Manager (Systems and Controls) and the Team Leader Controls in the preparation of the Statutory Accounts by preparing Year End working papers for assigned and other areas, and assisting with audit questions
    1. Producing financial analysis for inclusion in management reports to different user groups
    2. Support the development and implementation of systems, procedures and information processes in order to improve the level of financial support provided

    3.  Carry out systematic bench-marking of services and operations against other service providers, and key performance indicators in order to inform managers and drive up performance. Using this knowledge to provide proactive advice and guidance to managers on how best to handle their financial activities.
