Events Administrator needed in Harlow Paying  £14.88 per hr ref 23160

Full time hours on a temporary basis

 

Key Skills and CompetenciesAdministration

  • Experienced in providing comprehensive administrative support within a busy events environment.
  • Skilled in maintaining accurate records, organising documentation, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Mailbox Management

  • Confident in monitoring and managing shared mailboxes, responding to enquiries promptly, and escalating queries to relevant team members when required.
  • Able to prioritise requests and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.

Event Coordination

  • Experienced in supporting the planning and delivery of events, including coordinating paperwork, tracking deadlines, and ensuring all required documentation is obtained.
  • Strong ability to support event setup and provide on-site assistance when required, including evenings and weekends.

Customer Service and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Professional and approachable when dealing with event organisers, community groups, suppliers, council officers, members, and external partners.
  • Skilled in building positive working relationships and providing excellent customer service.

Database and Systems Management

  • Able to accurately update and maintain event management systems, databases, spreadsheets, and records.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and following established processes.

Communication

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience liaising via email, telephone, and face-to-face.
  • Able to gather information, provide updates, and ensure stakeholders are kept informed.

Organisation and Time Management

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, monitor deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Financial Administration

  • Experience chasing payments, obtaining quotes, processing information, and supporting financial administration related to events.

Research and Problem Solving

  • Able to conduct research, gather information, and find solutions to administrative and operational challenges.

Teamwork

  • Works effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to the successful delivery of events and projects.
