Estates Surveyor needed in Esher Paying  £218.52 per day ref OR114369

Full time hours on a temporary basis

  • Key ResponsibilitiesEstate Management

    • Manage lease renewals, rent reviews, new lettings, assignments, surrenders, and landlord and tenant matters.
    • Negotiate property acquisitions and disposals, including preparing Heads of Terms and liaising with legal representatives.
    • Undertake and support commercial and residential property valuations in accordance with RICS standards.
    • Assist in the management of rent rolls, service charges, and property records.
    • Conduct development appraisals and assess third-party proposals.

    Asset & Portfolio Management

    • Maintain and update asset management plans, asset registers, and property databases.
    • Identify opportunities to improve asset performance, increase income, and deliver value for money.
    • Support the development and implementation of property and asset management strategies.
    • Monitor budgets and provide recommendations where expenditure or income varies from targets.

    Professional Advice & Reporting

    • Prepare reports, business cases, briefing papers, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
    • Provide professional property advice on estate management, valuation, and asset-related matters.
    • Assist with the preparation of evidence and documentation for tribunals, courts, and other statutory proceedings when required.

    Stakeholder & Team Management

    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, tenants, professional advisers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
    • Support and mentor administrative and junior property staff where required.
    • Manage external consultants and professional advisers.
    • Deputise for senior members of the property team when necessary.

    Compliance & Governance

    • Ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation, professional standards, procurement requirements, and internal policies.
    • Support health and safety, risk management, business continuity, and data protection requirements.
    • Assist with performance monitoring, benchmarking, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
