Environmental Health Office needed in North West London Paying  £22.79 per hr ref OR119354

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Health Investigations

• Investigate a range of environmental health and public nuisance complaints.
• Respond to reports of pest infestations, fly-tipping, bonfires and other environmental concerns.
• Undertake site inspections and gather evidence to support investigations.
• Assess complaints and determine appropriate enforcement or remedial action.
• Maintain accurate case records and investigation reports.

Noise and Nuisance Management

• Investigate noise complaints including construction site noise, amplified music, barking dogs and other statutory nuisances.
• Conduct monitoring activities, site visits and evidence gathering exercises.
• Assess nuisance levels and determine compliance with environmental legislation.
• Work with residents, businesses and contractors to achieve practical resolutions.
• Take appropriate enforcement action where necessary.

Enforcement and Compliance

• Enforce relevant environmental health legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare case files and supporting documentation where formal action is required.
• Issue advice, warnings, notices and recommendations in accordance with procedures.
• Support legal proceedings and provide witness evidence when necessary.
• Ensure investigations are carried out fairly, consistently and proportionately.
