Based in Esher paying £15.13ph PAYE
This is a full time temporary role.
Our client is looking for an Electoral Assistant.
Whilst a large proportion of processing registration forms and uploading information will be required, which is of a fairly routine nature, a very high level of attention to detail is necessary. There will be the opportunity of learning about the democratic process and get involved with various aspects of preparing for an election. The post holder will also be expected to deal with enquiries from the public by email and telephone, working within a small, busy team.
Whilst no specific related experience is required, a good standard of strong customer services and a competent IT user, especially with Microsoft Word and Excel (or equivalent) is required. Training and guidance will be provided.
Due to the pandemic working from home is permitted, but there will be times that it will be necessary to work at the Civic Centre.
With the Covid-19 situation staff are working remotely and there is no face-to-face contact with complainants or colleagues although this will be dependent on the latest Government advice and guidance.
