About the Role

We are seeking a forward‑thinking and commercially minded Business Partnering Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, providing insightful financial analysis, and driving strategic decision-making across the organisation.

As a key adviser to operational teams, you will translate financial data into meaningful insights, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure strong financial governance while adding real value to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior leaders and operational teams, providing clear financial guidance and challenge.
  • Produce high‑quality management accounts, variance analysis, and performance reports.
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and business cases.
  • Monitor financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities, and trends.
  • Improve financial awareness across departments by explaining concepts in a clear and accessible way.
  • Work collaboratively with non‑financial stakeholders, ensuring decisions are grounded in robust financial information.
  • Provide insights to drive efficiency, cost control, and improved business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

Ideal Skills & Experience Required

  • Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in a business partnering, management accounting, or financial analysis role.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence, challenge, and support stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive, solution‑focused approach.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
