Building Maintenance Officer

Building Maintenance Officer needed in Bootle Paying  £19.24 per hr ref OR110872

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and communal areas to identify repair and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor reactive and planned maintenance works.
• Manage contractor performance, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Investigate maintenance issues and arrange appropriate repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and property-related regulations.
• Monitor fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, electrical, and gas safety compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate remedial actions.
• Assist with budget monitoring and procurement of maintenance services.
• Liaise with residents, tenants, contractors, and colleagues to resolve maintenance concerns effectively.
• Support asset management and planned improvement programmes.
