Adults & Children Solicitor needed in Swindon Paying £38.20 per hr ref 135109
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of adult social care and children’s law matters from instruction through to conclusion.
- Provide specialist legal advice on matters relating to child protection, care proceedings, safeguarding, fostering, adoption, special guardianship, and public law children’s matters.
- Advise on adult social care issues including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Court of Protection matters, safeguarding adults, and community care law.
- Prepare and review legal documentation, including applications, pleadings, witness statements, agreements, reports, and legal correspondence.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, tribunals, case management hearings, and other legal forums.
- Instruct and liaise with counsel, experts, social workers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Provide clear, practical, and risk-based legal advice on complex and sensitive cases.
- Conduct legal research and keep abreast of legislative developments, case law, and best practice.
- Deliver training and legal guidance to colleagues and stakeholders where required.
- Ensure files are managed effectively and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
