Team Leader Waste needed in Leeds

This is a temporary role and the rate is £19.32ph PAYE

The successful candidate will have experience supervising teams within a fast-paced operational environment and will play a key role in leading the delivery of an efficient, customer-focused domestic waste collection service.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of frontline crews, ensuring services are delivered safely, on schedule and to agreed standards. The role will involve coordinating staff and resources, responding to service and route issues, supporting workforce planning, and working closely with fleet services to ensure vehicles are safe, compliant and available for operation. You will investigate and resolve customer complaints, monitor performance, promote a strong health and safety culture, and undertake accident and incident investigations where required. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be confident managing challenging conversations, have strong IT and system knowledge, and demonstrate a customer-focused approach with a good understanding of waste and recycling operations.
