Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
- Manage short‑term vehicle hire requirements, bookings, and allocation of appropriate vehicles, including maintaining hire records.
- Manage the service schedule for vehicles and plant, ensuring availability for maintenance and inspections.
- Maintain and oversee the approved supplier list for contract and spot hire of vehicles.
- Apply substantial knowledge of policies, procedures, and legislation to ensure the transport service operates compliantly and legally.
- Liaise, negotiate, and collaborate with managers, staff, subcontractors, and members of the public to maintain strong communication links.
- Support daily workshop operations, including time recording and data allocation systems.
- Input, check, and maintain accurate and confidential records across electronic and paper systems.
- Take cash and card payments in line with internal audit procedures.
- Issue, copy, and receive supplier, customer, and internal non‑conformance documentation.
- Provide accurate information for drafting invoices, including warranty claims.
- Carry out routine driving licence checks (plus MOT and insurance checks where applicable).
- Place orders and process invoices for payment
