Technical Officer needed in Newcastle under lyme Paying  £35.06 per hr ref 1627388

Full time hours on a temporary basis

• We’re looking for a skilled and customer-focused Technical Officer to support the delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants and other housing assistance schemes. You’ll provide expert technical advice to older, disabled, and vulnerable residents, helping them adapt or improve their homes to meet their needs.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits to advise clients and maintain contact throughout the process.
  • Carry out feasibility studies and property surveys to assess suitability for adaptations.
  • Produce technical drawings and detailed schedules of work.
  • Review and interpret plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Submit planning and building regulation applications where required.
  • Assess contractor estimates for value and suitability.
  • Monitor works on-site, resolve issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Liaise with landlords and housing providers to progress schemes.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
