Senior Planning Policy Officer needed in Atherstone Paying  £19.32 per hr ref 5287212

Full time hours on a temporary basis

• • Leading on the preparation of Local Plan documents, supplementary planning guidance, evidence‑base studies, and consultation exercises.
  • Providing expert policy advice to colleagues, elected members, developers, and residents.
  • Representing the Local Planning Authority at Public Inquiries, Hearings, and Examinations.
  • Assessing and interpreting changes to planning legislation, national policy, and environmental/sustainability requirements.
  • Supporting and contributing to corporate strategies relating to climate change, carbon reduction, heritage, and place‑making.
  • Managing projects and coordinating external consultants, work programmes, and deadlines.
  • Preparing reports, briefing notes, and committee papers.
  • Working collaboratively across the organisation and with external partners to ensure integrated policy delivery.
