Revenues Officer

Revenues Officer needed in Northallerton, £15ph PAYE – Reference: RQ1501799

• The candidate will be dealing with customers who are in arrears with their council Tax and Business Rates.
• Making arrangements to clear debts, chasing missed payments
• Accounts prior to and following the granting of Liability Orders.
• Dealing with accounts at the Enforcement Agents.
• Able to identify what action is required for each debt account
• Looking to move accounts to charging orders, bankruptcy’s and any actions allowable following the Liability Order.
• Communication will be via telephone, email and written letter.
• Each day is a different day, taking calls from the public who are in debt to the Council, working through reports again in relation to debtors of Council Tax and Business Rates.

You will ideally have –

• Experience of Northgate systems 
• IRRV qualification
• Good clear communication skills  – both to listen, understand and explain complex issues.
• Ability to work without much supervision.

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
