Location: Clacton-on-Sea
Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (6 Months)
Rate: £30.00 per hour PAYE

We are seeking two Recycling Officers to support the delivery of a new recycling collection service across the local area. This is a full-time, site-based role in Clacton-on-Sea, requiring travel throughout the district, so access to a vehicle and a full driving licence are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor recycling and waste collection compliance.
• Engage with residents and contractors to promote recycling and waste minimisation.
• Conduct audits of communal bin stores and recommend recycling improvements.
• Support the rollout and promotion of food waste collection services.
• Deliver recycling containers and information to households.
• Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email.
• Provide general administrative and operational support.

About You:

• Previous experience within waste management, recycling, or environmental services is essential.
• Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
• Experience working with contractors, stakeholders, or the public.
• Ability to manage site visits, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
