Quantity Surveyor needed in North London Paying  £28 per hr ref 1701757

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key ResponsibilitiesPre‑Contract Duties

• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation for M&E and wider social housing projects.
• Evaluate contractor proposals, analyse tender returns and support procurement decisions.
• Assist with developing specifications and scopes of work relating to mechanical, electrical and associated building services.
• Provide cost planning advice to internal teams, clients, and project partners.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and ensure cost‑effective solutions.

Post‑Contract Duties

• Manage all commercial aspects of project delivery, including valuations, variations, cost tracking and reporting.
• Monitor contractor performance, programme progress and compliance with specifications.
• Prepare interim and final account agreements.
• Provide financial reports and forecasts to support project governance.
• Support contract administration, ensuring adherence to relevant forms of contract (e.g., JCT, NEC).
• Work closely with construction and M&E teams to resolve any commercial or technical issues.
