Public Health Manager needed in Gloucester Paying  £274.42 per day ref 5287821

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of public health programmes aligned to local and national priorities.
• Provide expert public health advice to internal teams, senior leaders and external partners.
• Analyse and interpret population health data to inform strategic decisions and service improvements.
• Develop evidence‑based policies, strategies, and interventions to address health inequalities.
• Prepare reports, business cases, and briefings for senior leadership and elected members.
• Oversee commissioned services, ensuring high‑quality performance and value for money.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with the NHS, local authorities, community organisations, and wider stakeholders.
• Support emergency preparedness and health protection responses as required.
• Manage budgets and contribute to wider organisational planning.
