Private Sector Housing Officer

Private Sector Housing Officer needed in Uxbridge Paying  £38.09 per ref 1678624

Full time hours on a temporary basis

 Key Responsibilities

• • Carry out inspections of private rented properties using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
  • Assess housing conditions and take appropriate enforcement action where necessary
  • Investigate complaints and concerns from tenants, landlords, and partners
  • Provide advice and guidance to landlords on property standards and legal duties
  • Prepare and serve statutory notices, including Improvement Notices and Prohibition Orders
  • Support vulnerable tenants to improve their housing situation and access appropriate services
  • Work collaboratively with environmental health, social care, planning, and external agencies
  • Maintain accurate case records and prepare evidence for legal proceedings, where required
  • Promote landlord engagement and encourage best practice across the private rented sector
