Principal Planning Officer needed in Charnwood

This is a temporary contract paying £32.10ph PAYE

The successful candidate will assist the Team Leaders in the delivery of development management services in the two area teams and by deal with applications relating to the control of development.

They will handle all types of application, but with specific responsibility for major and the more controversial proposals, including:

• Provide pre-application advice
• Site inspections and surveys
• Consultation with stakeholders; including the public, statutory consultees and amenity and community organizations
• Negotiations with applicants and professional agents including leading negotiations on Section 106 Agreement
