Payroll , Pensions and HR Administrator (Hybrid) needed in Chichester, £13.68ph PAYE – Reference: 5301542

Working Arrangements –

  • The role is contractually office-based, as there may be times when team members are required to attend the office every day, sometimes at short notice. In practice, our team generally works from home, with one designated office day each week. Each team has its own office day, and for this team it is currently Tuesday.
  • Home working can begin once training has been completed. All training is office-based and carried out alongside colleagues. The length of training varies depending on individual confidence and competence, and some seasonal aspects of the role can only be covered at certain times of the year. As a result, you should expect to attend the office frequently at the start of your employment—potentially daily initially, then several days a week—before moving to the usual one day a week arrangement.
  • In October we are implementing a new IT system, which will mean coming into the office more often whilst we bed it in.

Job Description –

  • To thrive in this role, you will ideally need good knowledge of Excel and Word, be confident, flexible, resilient, organised, be able to balance priorities and deadlines and enjoy working as part of a team.

  • You’ll ideally be comfortable working on routine payroll processing and related administrative tasks.

  • You’ll ideally have experience working in a customer focussed role, with the ability to explain basic payroll information.

  • You’ll be dealing with client and school staff on the telephone, and will need to demonstrate excellent customer care and communication skills when responding to potentially sensitive payroll queries from staff.

  • You’ll also ideally need to be able to work on your own initiative, organising your work appropriately and responding to changing priorities to meet agreed deadlines.
