Payments Assistant Full Time Temporary

Payments Assistant needed in Eastbourne paying £10.21 per hr PAYE Ref:5121

This role is working full time hours on a temporary basis

This role will involve:

• To deal with inbound and outbound communication relating to work completed by the department, including telephone conversation, email and letter.
• To provide advice and guidance to clients or their representative, staff and partner agencies on services provided by the department
• Responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of direct payments to Adult Social Care clients.
• Coordinate correspondence for the team by telephone, letter and email.
• The post holder will work on several bespoke database systems for which you will receive full training and ongoing support.
• Due to the flexible nature of the role it’s important they are organised, self-motivated, collaborative, and empathic and understand the needs of vulnerable people.
• If they’re successful they will benefit from access to on-going training as well as excellent standards of support and supervision.

Ideally candidates will have:

• Knowledge of working with computers including Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office and have 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths with grades C and above.
• Ability to make decisions as required within the remit of the role and refers complex cases requiring decisions.
• Excellent customer service skills via email and telephone,
• Able to work under own initiative with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to review working processes and promote improvements to customer experience.
• To have used database packages.
• Working knowledge of computerised financial information systems.
