Seeking an experienced candidate for an initial duration 3mths however this is likely to be extended.

Key points of criteria are:

• You’ll bring experience from a similar role, ideally involving the coordination of specialist transport for children and young people with SEND.

• You’ll feel confident managing safeguarding concerns, following the correct procedures and guidance, including making referrals to the LADO when needed.

• You must be able to meet the requirements for an Enhanced DBS check

• You’ll work closely with the team to manage staffing and resources, making practical decisions that keep our SEND home‑to‑school transport service running smoothly.

• You’re happy to be flexible, which may occasionally include supporting colleagues or working outside normal office hours to meet the needs of the service.

• You’ll follow Salford Council policies, as well as all relevant national guidance, to ensure the service is safe and compliant.

• You’ll support the team in handling complaints, using your experience, problem‑solving skills and calm, diplomatic approach to find positive and practical solutions.
