Seeking an experienced candidate for an initial duration 3mths however this is likely to be extended.
Key points of criteria are:
You’ll bring experience from a similar role, ideally involving the coordination of specialist transport for children and young people with SEND.
You’ll feel confident managing safeguarding concerns, following the correct procedures and guidance, including making referrals to the LADO when needed.
You must be able to meet the requirements for an Enhanced DBS check
You’ll work closely with the team to manage staffing and resources, making practical decisions that keep our SEND home‑to‑school transport service running smoothly.
You’re happy to be flexible, which may occasionally include supporting colleagues or working outside normal office hours to meet the needs of the service.
You’ll follow Salford Council policies, as well as all relevant national guidance, to ensure the service is safe and compliant.
You’ll support the team in handling complaints, using your experience, problem‑solving skills and calm, diplomatic approach to find positive and practical solutions.
