Neighbourhood Care Operative

Neighbourhood Care Operative needed in Bolton Paying  £13.74 per hr ref 000B 2940 / 1

Full time hours on a temporary basis  

Key Responsibilities

• Manually sweep and collect litter, debris, and detritus from highways, open spaces, and shrub areas.
• Remove fly-tipped waste and safely deal with sharps in accordance with procedures.
• Undertake manual and mechanical removal of animal fouling from public areas.
• Remove accident debris and dead animals from highways and public spaces.
• Empty, clean, and maintain litter and dog waste bins.
• Carry out grounds maintenance duties, including:
  • Grass cutting using pedestrian and ride-on mowers.
  • Grass edging.
  • Hedge cutting.
  • Shrub and flower bed maintenance.
  • Shrub pruning.
• Undertake pedestrian street sweeping and leaf clearance.
• Remove graffiti from public property and infrastructure.
• Perform routine watercourse inspections and checks.
• Assist in maintaining playgrounds, street furniture, and undertake painting where required.
• Complete worksheets and records accurately.
• Carry out winter maintenance activities, including gritting footpaths and pedestrian routes.
• Undertake driving duties associated with service delivery.
• Support the delivery of a high-quality neighbourhood environment.
