Lead Licensing Officer needed in Bideford Paying  £36.10 per hr ref 5298255

Full time hours on a temporary basis

•  Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver licensing functions in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Act as the lead officer within the Licensing Team, providing advice, guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Attend and contribute to internal Licensing Team meetings.
  • Keep up to date with licensing legislation and policy developments.
  • Draft and review licensing policies for renewal and present reports to the Licensing Committee.
  • Respond to routine enquiries and complaints relating to the licensing service.
  • Process applications across the full range of licensing functions.
  • Carry out inspections of licensed premises and investigate cases of non-compliance.
  • Take enforcement action where necessary and appropriate.
  • Prepare detailed reports and present cases at Licensing Sub-Committee hearings.
