Information Governance Manager needed in Manchester £22.65ph PAYE – Reference:0004 D904 / 1

This role will involve:

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Information Governance Manager. This is a key role and the successful candidate will be responsible for the Information Governance team, which covers areas including Data incidents, Subject Access Requests, FOI, policy writing and advising on all aspects of Data Protection, Confidentiality and Information Security in order to support compliance with legislation and best practice.
  • The post holder will also work closely with colleagues in the IT Department and as Information Governance Manager, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of the annual Data Security and Protection Toolkit submission.
  • In this role the post holder will act as Data Protection Officer. In addition, a key component of the role will include the formulation, implementation and monitoring of Information Governance projects and training to ensure the client is up to date.

Ideally candidates will have;

  • Be a highly motived individual who can work autonomously and within a team
  • Have significant experience in delivering information governance in a public sector setting
  • Have experience of leading an IG Team
  • Be change focused and willing to contribute to the evolution and development of the team, bringing your own ideas and enthusiasm to the role
  • Be an excellent communicator who can engage well with stakeholders, forming effective working relationships and be able to resolve conflicts if they arise.
  • Experience of working with Senior Officers and be able to analyse, discuss and offer resolutions to complex issues.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
