Housing Officer Full Time Temporary

Housing Officer needed in London £15.75 ph ref: 5186568

This role will involve:

• To carry out crisis intervention assessment of a Rough Sleepers need and then understand and then develop a plan to resolve customers needs at first contact in the Rapid Rehousing service.
• Carry out a strengths-based assessment with each client. Work to understand and advocate for the individual’s personal preferences and goals, whilst managing client expectations.
• To deliver assertive, proactive, immediate, responsive, flexible and creative support solutions to maintain client’s tenancy.
• Develop relationships with clients during Drop-In sessions. Building trust and working in an empowering way as a single point of contact for the client.

Ideally candidates will have:

• Thorough understanding of inner city housing issues and in particular Rough sleeping and Supported housing provision
• Awareness of issues and challenges facing rough sleeping and solutions to eliminate Rough Sleeping
• Experience of effective record keeping including electronically to a high standard
• Experience of successfully working to performance targets and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills including active listening, advocacy and a win-win approach with all stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to write detailed technical letters and reports and getting things right first time.
• Ability to gather information and interpret complex issues and provide creative and positive solutions to various cohorts of service users
